FARMINGVILLE, NY (CBSNewYork) – Police are investigating the deaths of three people on Long Island.
Police said they received a call to 911 around noon on Friday. Someone came to see his family in Farmingville and found three people shot dead.

Suffolk Police said they are still warning the next of kin, yet to identify the two women and a man found in an apartment known as Fairfield South Apartments on Overlook Drive.
A baby under one year old was found safe and sound in the apartment.
Police are not yet sure whether they were shot on Thursday night or Friday, but it appears someone has broken into.
Very distraught family members were outside in tears.
A woman who identified herself as the second mother of one of the victims told CBS2’s Carolyn Gusoff that the male victim was engaged to one of the female victims. The third victim was a friend.

“A lot of grief. Everyone suffers from it because we love them all. They were great kids who were just trying to live their lives, nobody minded, so they didn’t deserve that, ”said Jacqueline Wiggins.
Police said there had only been complaints of noise from the apartment in the past.
“There are signs the door jam was broken, yes. We don’t know if it’s old or if it came from the incident, but there are signs of a broken door jam, ”the Suffolk County Police Detective said. Lt. Kevin Beyrer said.
Neighbors in the townhouse community told CBS2 they were alarmed.
“We were worried. The neighbors, they’re supposed to close the doors every night. We find that they don’t put them down, ”said one woman.

With the shooter or shooters still not arrested, police are not ready to say whether they think this triple homicide was random or targeted.
