Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are a power couple with one of the longest-lasting celebrity marriages. They married in 1997 and now have three children together. The actors have resided in Manhattan for several years and own or have owned several properties in the Big Apple.

Inside Parker and Broderick’s former townhouse in New York

In 2016, Parker and Broderick snapped up not one but two townhouses next to each other, also in Manhattan’s West Village, for a whopping $35 million. Shortly after their purchase, they hired Morris Adjmi Architects to begin renovating the two properties to combine them into one massive 13,900 square foot mansion. The houses also have a private garden of 2,100 square feet.

But those aren’t the only places they’ve owned in New York.

The couple also had another pad in the Greenwich Village neighborhood. It is 6,800 square feet and features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms. They reportedly bought this townhouse for $19 million with the intention of flipping it after several upgrades. But they had no takers at the $25 million asking price in 2012, so they lowered it and put it back on the market a few years later.

Their secret to a lasting marriage

Because the couple, who started dating in 1991, have one of the longest-lasting celebrity marriages, a question they’ve been asked in the past is: what’s their secret to a long relationship?

On SiriusXM Radio Andy show in 2020, Broderick couldn’t come up with an answer. “I don’t know the secret at all, but I’m so grateful and loving it and it’s amazing,” he told CNN. “I mean, I can’t believe it’s been that long. It doesn’t seem like it.
