Man Utd’s next club Daniel James play the role of Brighton rivals Leicester City, Aston Villa and Leeds United, amid speculation

Leicester City have been installed as the bookies’ favorite to land Daniel James if the Welsh winger were to leave Manchester United this summer.

James is expected to see his future in the spotlight again in the coming weeks, especially in light of United’s capture of long-term target Jadon Sancho.

The arrival of the England international may well reduce the Welshman’s playing time at Old Trafford even further,

James only made 11 Premier League starts under boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season, and his struggles to make an impact have led him to be frequently linked with moves.

Sources close to the player have always insisted he is happy to fight for his place at Old Trafford, but Solskjaer’s moves in the transfer market may well change the landscape a bit.

Leeds United, who missed a transfer for James just months before moving to Manchester’s red half, have been credited with longtime admirers but have apparently not made a concrete offer yet.

According to bookmakers, they remain in the mix for his signing this summer, but could well face stiff competition.

Reports recently credited Brighton and Hove Albion with interest this summer, in a move that would see James bond again with former Swansea boss Graham Potter.

SkyBet has priced Albion at 3/1 to make a move, but they believe Leicester (7/4) is the most likely destination right now.

Aston Villa and Everton are also believed to be part of the mix, but are seen as less likely.
