Police investigate homicide after man found dead in Mint Hill apartment – WSOC TV

MINT HILL, NC – Police are investigating a homicide in Mint Hill after saying a man was found dead in an apartment Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the Victoria Park Apartments on Stoney Trace Drive just before 3 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting some type of disturbance with possible weapons involved.

When the police arrived at the apartments, they found several people involved. Officials said they were compliant and officers took them into custody.

Officers then found a man inside an apartment who was on the ground and unconscious.

MEDIC arrived shortly after and declared the victim dead. His name was not disclosed and the police did not say how he died.

Channel 9 teams at the scene were able to see a crime scene filmed around a building and several people visibly upset.

Mint Hill Police took three people to the police department for questioning. Authorities said they appeared to be cooperating with investigators.

Police say detectives are not looking for anyone else and there does not appear to be any danger to the public. Authorities have not said what led to the man’s death.
